I can’t wait for the final one of the series to come out! I’ve read The Drowned Woods by Emily Lloyd Jones which is loved as it is set in Wales, I did read A Court of Thrones and Roses but I didn’t love it, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by Victoria Schwab (loved), Ruthless Vows and Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross (also loved!). Do you have any recommendations for me? x
Me either! These are all such good ones, thanks for sharing. I did love ACOTAR (the second book really grabbed me!) and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue was so beautiful! I hadn't read your last two so I'm going to see if they're available at my library :) I really liked Sarah J Maas' Throne of Glass series, and in the zone of cozy fantasies I loved House in the Cerulean Sea and A Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches which just snuggled my heart. Both have magical kiddos in them. :) x
I always love reading your posts on these monthly delights Emily - such a gorgeous list - the limeade and the strawberry and peanut butter granola sound delicious! So lovey that things feel like they are falling into place for you, and nothing beats newborn cuddles ❤️. June seems to have gone as quick as May for me but some things that stand out are having a meal out and shopping trip with my mum for my birthday - I actually got to try clothes on and buy some new things which rarely happens these days! We've had a few family days out and picnics too so that has been really lovely, just watching the kids play together, kicking a ball around or blowing bubbles - it's the simple things! X
I am still dreaming of the granola! I just got some freeze dried raspberries so i might try to recreate it with those.. we'll see! Oh my goodness, I know right!!
I love this! That is so special and always fun to try on things in person, it helps to know how things look/feel on you before ordering. I can't remember the last time I did that either! And yes, it truly is the simple things. How is the weather treating you in Wales? x
Ooh that sounds lovely, anything with strawberries and raspberries in is a winner!
Yeah it makes a difference trying things on, you can never really tell online can you, the type of fit. I need to remind myself that it is the simple things, because I can definitely overcomplicate things. It's been pretty hot here the last week but has cooled down now - tbh I'm not great in the heat so the cooler weather is welcome. How has your week been? x
What a list of lovely things. Got to say the Christmas shop would be my highlight 🤣 Love a Christmas shop and there’s something extra exciting about seeing one out of season for some reason. No idea why 🤣
Total gorgeousness all of it! I love how it feels like getting to know you through the things that you have savoured and I am so happy to hear that you are feeling full and cared for. Some June moments have been spending time on Hampstead Heath, generally getting outside most afternoons and soaking in summer’s wild beauty, finally hanging art and photos on the walls, seedlings growing, solo trips into central London, a gorgeous morning at a botanic garden in Chelsea writing and doing yoga, travelling to France to stay with my parents. All in all, a very lovely month in many ways! xx
Oh these all sound so perfect. London in the summertime is truly magical, it feels like all has come to life again. Your moments sound so nourishing and so much fun x
This was so lovely! Loved all of it and the thoughtfulness put into it!
A few things I’ve enjoyed this month are: hosting dinner parties, mornings spent at the river with other mamas and baby friends, scrapbooking, mini golf date with my husband & endless reading time in the summer sun 🤍
Your June has been magical! Yes to decaf espresso and Emily Wilde books. This month, a few of the things worth savoring: Sunday afternoons that start with an iced latte and a TV show, then going on a sunny bakery run, then ending the day laying out by the pool reading and eating ice cream in bed. Summertime is so so magical and makes me feel like a child again <3
Your recs never fail!! It brings soo much nostalgia and the feeling that anything is possible. Soaking it all up. I just went to wholefoods and bought some strawberry ice cream to eat by the pool this evening 🍓 x
Oh such a lovely list! I love the Emily Wilde books too. What other fantasy novels are you reading? ✨
