June has felt like the most full, rich month. We kicked it off in Oak Island with some very special friends, came back to Florida and had what ended up being our final weeks in our apartment. We just moved into a friend’s house for the summer while they spend it in Maine (what a dream!!). Packing up our apartment in three days felt pretty wild and moving in this summer heat was no joke, but we are here and we love it. From toddler cuddles, coffee dates, grilling by the pool, reading so many fun fantasy books (and a few others sprinkled in too.. I’m currently reading The Nurture Revolution by Greer Kirshenbaum), soaking up the sun and things just falling into place effortlessly.. I am feeling so thankful and full and loved and cared for.
Here are a list of things that brought me delight this month:
a Christmas store in June
going to a coffee shop to read together
riding a bike
spring green in SC
strawberry and salty peanut granola
decaf espresso with raw milk and coconut sugar
peaches
nectarines
sunset walks
riding a bike at sunset on Oak Island

polaroids taken by our 6 year old friend, Noli
flowers behind ears
getting out for a walk before the summer heat
hugging a dear friend for the first time after her birth
holding a 4 day old baby
diving for shells
swimming at a quiet spot at the beach, just the two of us
first words
“oh your toenails are painted another beautiful colour!!” - from a 4 year old
getting to live rent free for the summer
sunrise
outdoor showers
Emily Wilde books (currently finishing up map of the otherlands right now.. I love these books)
the library on a hot day
picking up my stack of books on hold
baby ducks crossing the road
family time
being seen
feeling open
smooth transitions
limeade on summer solstice
everything working out perfectly
dreams being fulfilled in unexpected ways
calling my family on their trip, being on the same time zone

ease
a fresh hair cut

Oh such a lovely list! I love the Emily Wilde books too. What other fantasy novels are you reading? ✨
I always love reading your posts on these monthly delights Emily - such a gorgeous list - the limeade and the strawberry and peanut butter granola sound delicious! So lovey that things feel like they are falling into place for you, and nothing beats newborn cuddles ❤️. June seems to have gone as quick as May for me but some things that stand out are having a meal out and shopping trip with my mum for my birthday - I actually got to try clothes on and buy some new things which rarely happens these days! We've had a few family days out and picnics too so that has been really lovely, just watching the kids play together, kicking a ball around or blowing bubbles - it's the simple things! X
